Having a break from the routine

"I'm looking forward to having a break from the routine." I said to my wife. We all have a routine, each and every one of us. You may not like to admit it, but you do. We get up, go to work, come home, go to bed. Repeat. I needed a break from it. Which meant one thing. A Holiday. After counting down the months, weeks, days, hours. The time eventually arrived. We got up at 04:30 am, like I used to do to go to work. We drove to the airport, down the motorway. Just like I did everyday to go to work. We had breakfast at the airport, the same one we always have when going on holiday. We got on the plane and sat in our pre-booked seats. The ones we always sit in. We landed at our destination in Greece. We tend to go to different locations in Greece each year, or we go back and revisit some of our favourites. Blogging in 2025

Hello, you found this blog. Welcome, pull up a seat, relax, chill. Get a coffee or an alcoholic drink (or whatever vice that gets you off). You will need it. Why are you here? You want to know if it's worth starting a blog in 2025? You want to earn money from blogging? You want a side hustle and then hope it takes off and you can leave your crap job and be a blogger full time? Spoiler alert: It won't happen. Get real. I had a blog a few years ago that followed all the rules suggested to be a "successful blogger." It was based on a specific topic. I posted regularly. I coupled it with an "OK" social media account. I had monetisation with Google AdSense. After two years of blogging, here is my financial breakdown of how much money I earned from blogging: £60. Yep, over 2 years I earned a measly amount of money. Was it worth it? Was it worth all the time spent thinking of ideas for posts, research, time to write, edit, reply to comments...
