You want to know if it's worth starting a blog in 2026? You want to earn money from blogging? I had a blog a few years ago that followed all the rules suggested to be a "successful blogger." It was based on a specific topic. I posted regularly. I coupled it with an "OK" social media account. I had monetisation with Google AdSense. After two years of blogging, here is my financial breakdown of how much money I earned from blogging: £60. Yep, over 2 years I earned a measly amount of money. LinkedIn is a cesspit

In the past I had to use LinkedIn for work. Apparently it was essential. It was the last unknown secret to finding new clients and lucrative business leads. If you connected with people you would achieve endless business meeting requests, large repeat orders, life long professional friends and untold riches. Bollocks. There are people who make a living offering courses on how to use LinkedIn. How they generated "£10 million in sales" and "just by playing around with it". Fuck, there are still plenty of gullible people fuelling these sharks. All I ever got from it was: Recruiters trying to connect, who then think they could head hunt me to a company I would never want to work for. Suppliers who wanted to spam me their crap that I would never have any intention of purchasing.
